What is love?
This is a fairly common question. But let me just say right now that there is no answer for you here, because I frankly have no idea. Well, actually that is a lie. I have several ideas, I just don't know if any of them are correct.
Love can manifest itself in many ways: love for a profession, love for an animal, love for a spouse, love for God, pretty much whatever takes your fancy really.
And love differs in many ways: we have platonic love, romantic love, Eros (sexual) love, parental love, friendship, guardianship, etc, etc.
A rather prominent argument is that love does not exist: it is a creation of the mind. Literally. Essentially, love is hormones flooding your brain. And this is completely true.
However, the real truth lies in the fact that we are human, and possess my favorite evolutionary trait: higher thought. Yes, we as a species have the ability to perceive our existence in a different manner to our animal counterparts. We follow logic, and defy it. We revert to our base instincts, yet try desperately to retain our humanity. Love is purely hormonal, yes. But it is our ability to perceive it otherwise that makes it a reality.
Look, two overriding base instincts guide almost every action: the need to survive, and the need to reproduce, both of which can be connected to or considered a form of love (love of life, love of self, Eros love, etc). But our higher thought allows us to deny these basic and rather unrefined types of love, forming the greatest lie of all: Romantic love. We override our need to survive and procreate by throwing ourselves in harm's way, risking life and limb, prioritizing, putting the consideration of the significant other before ourselves. Romantic love makes no logical sense, yet guides most of humanity, often on unbelievably stupid quests.
Love has destroyed lives and civilizations, yet is the inescapable proof that we are different from animals, and capable of greatness. Love is the opiate.

The Paper Regime
How's this for an idea: Paper controls EVERYTHING. You are a slave to paper.
Crazy, you may say. But really think about it...
Money --- PAPER
Graduation Diploma --- PAPER
Tax Sheets --- PAPER
Degree --- PAPER
Doctorate --- PAPER
Identification Documents --- PAPER
Driver's Licence --- PAPER
Receipts --- PAPER
Accounts --- PAPER
Marriage Documents --- PAPER
Property Deed --- PAPER
and, most important of all: BIRTH AND DEATH RECORDS --- PAPER
That's right, your entire existence is validated by a PIECE OF PAPER, without which, for all intents and puposes, YOU DO NOT EXIST.
Even in today's age of digital storage and information transfer, hardcopies of documents are still
provided and favored over digital copies. This heavy reliance on paper merely shows that paper has become greater than God. That's right --- PAPER > God. No longer is our physical presence considered valid unless we have proof, ON PAPER, that we are, in fact standing in front of you. Now how does that work?

Paper has ruled, in one form or another, for millennia, and will continue and enslave the human race for years to come. SLAVES! All of you!

Hello again...
Wow, has it been a long time since I last posted!
With school exams and my trip to the States, I really haven't had much time to write. So, sorry about that, my nonexistant readers.
Now that I am back, posts should return to relative normalcy, if they ever really were normal to begin with...
And with that note,
*evil chuckle*

Pondering... again
Several events, realizations, discoveries, and other, seemingly less-notable tidbits of life, have shaped much of my mind, both in general and recently...
It has been determined that one's life is shaped largely by people around oneself and interactions with said people.
As I stated in a prepared speech (hastily put together in about 2 minutes, and delivered in half that time), PEOPLE NEED OTHER PEOPLE. I am a classic example of a person enjoying solitude, yet secretly (until now, at least) yearns for companionship. I have found that strength is found in groups (proven by your superiority over your 'peers'), and no person can ever truly be solitary, even if they desire it so.
Despite this revelation, I still enjoy solitude. And by no means do I believe that others are what make a person. NO, the core essence of a human being is themselves, but having acquaintences is incredibly handy.
Again, I apologise for my [rather unnessecary] ramblings, particularly on such a pointless subject. maybe next time I will listen to my one reader and discuss the rise of fascist babies, trans-species marriage, effects of government compliance, and/or the truth behind drugs: they are acually good for you.
Wow, I have weird friends...

Well, then...
So this blog idea fell though the roof due to the fact that I have nothing to say, and no-one to show...
BUT, I will be true to my word and write, regardless of the severe lack of readers (id est 0), and my severe lack of memory...
Hopefully, this will be unlike most of my endeavors, and actually be a 'complete' project (I have a nasty habit of getting really excited about an idea, then losing interest very quickly, leaving the potentially genius plan unfinished -- example include the numerous short stories and scripts I have begun, never to be completed)...
Lovely, ain't it?
